Dear Mike, We were both so shocked and so sad to hear you have departed this earth. We will always remember you and the good times we had together in Comox, especially the FE camping trip. Our heart aches for you Gaétane and we hope through good friends and family you will be able to cope with this aching loss. Mike please remember us from up above and know you will be in our thoughts now and in the future. "Engineer, Set Max Power" Mike and Val Kaehler
My condolences to all the family. You will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Rest in peace Michel. xoxoxo
Gaetane and Family: I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I first met Mike in 1987 when we were course mates on the basic FE course 8701, we last served together at 407 Sqn. Mike was one of the best senior leaders of the FE trade, his compassion, empathy and professionalism were qualities that most of his peers could never equal. I know in my conversations with Mike that he held you and his family above all else. Again Gaetane my deepest condolences, I will always remember Mike.
My good friend Mike. Too young, too soon my friend. I will always remember your zest for life and the many conversations we had about work and family. I fondly look at the pictures from our Fincastle trip to New Zealand where we won it all. You taught me how to snorkel in the South Pacific. There is no one that I would rather have traveled with more. Damn we had fun and on many other trips. Just the day to day work with you was always a happy experience. So many stories! Gaetane and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget Mike. "When the goals are reached at last, When all the flyings done, I'll answer Him with no regret- Indeed, I had some fun. So when these things are asked of me, And I can reach no higher, My prayer this day - His hand extends To welcome home a Flyer." RIP Mike Kevin & Greta Gignac
Gaetanne, We offer our most sincerest condolences. Michel was always smiling and we will remember fondly the many neighbourly conversations we had with him in the driveway.
He was a great friend and a helluva Flight Engineer. I will always remember our trip to Scotland where we walked to every pub in the town to drink beer with all the locals. You will be sorely missed my friend
